About PE and Rec

The core purpose of the Department of Physical Education and Recreation is to educate, engage, and inspire the campus community to live active, balanced lives. Holistic well-being lies at the foundation of our work.

The aim is to promote health and well-being through our programs and facilities. From strength and conditioning spaces to courts and pools, from personal training and group exercise to physical education classes, from intramural sports and the rock wall to youth and family programming, there is something for everyone at the Rec.

Trainers, Instructors, and Administrative Staff

Our certified trainers, instructors, and administrative staff are dedicated to providing you with the best fitness experience possible. We are students with a love for health and fitness, and professionals with a plethora of expertise and experience.

Inclusive Recreation

Cost of attendance is the estimated cost to attend the UO for the academic year. The Office of Student Financial Aid and Scholarships provides estimates for cost of attendance information that goes beyond tuition and fees, and includes: living expenses (housing and food), books/supplies/equipment, transportation, and miscellaneous personal expenses.
